Art was a hard-working man who would help anyone in need. A Jack of All Trades and Mr. Fix It. If it had to be done, he did it. He was a talker and wealth of knowledge. So much knowledge of history is gone with him. Art loved to visit and tells stories. His grandchildren all have their favorite stories of his adventures. Most recently, he loved to visit with vendors and customers at VSK Emporium/ Middle of No Where in Frewsburg. It would amaze him how many people he met that he knew in the past.

Art graduated from Frewsburg High School. He was proud of the fact that he moved away from home at 12 years of age into a cabin he built in the woods. Art worked a variety of jobs in his life from hoof trimming to farming, construction and factory work. He retired from MRC/ SKF. He worked for Standard Oil in Alaska when he lived there. He made three trips up the Al Can to Alaska.

Art was a life member of the Ellery Center Volunteer Fire Department. His wife is deeply grateful to hospice and his nurses for the excellent, loving care given to him to keep him at home with his wife.
