William S. “Bill” Buesink, concluded his earthly journey and passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center in Jamestown, NY on May 14, 2026, at the age of 71.

Bill was born on April 22, 1955, in Corry, Pennsylvania, to the late Eugene and Norma (May) Buesink. From an early age, he displayed a natural athletic ability and competitive spirit that would become a defining part of his life. He graduated from Clymer Central School in 1973, where he was recognized as a talented multi-sport athlete. Bill went on to continue his successful football career at Edinboro University, proudly playing for the Fighting Scots through his college years until graduating in 1977. The friendships, discipline, and memories forged during his years on the field remained among the experiences he cherished most throughout his life.

Bill had a deep love for the outdoors and found some of his greatest happiness surrounded by mountains, snow, and open woods. He especially treasured his years living in New Hampshire, where he spent countless hours skiing the slopes and embracing the beauty and excitement of winter in New England. He also loved snowmobiling with friends, creating lifelong memories filled with laughter and adventure. Through the changing seasons, Bill eagerly looked forward to hunting trips and time spent outdoors, finding peace, friendship, and fulfillment in nature throughout his life.

Bill’s love for football extended far beyond his own playing days, as he remained a lifelong and devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. During the years he lived in Pittsburgh prior to retirement, his connection to the team and the city only grew stronger. Football Sundays were a treasured tradition, filled with excitement, loyalty, and the unwavering hope that came with being a true Steelers fan.

Bill’s faith was an important and steady foundation throughout his life. A devoted member of Clymer Methodist Church, he found comfort, purpose, and community through his relationship with God and his church family. Bill especially found joy in music and loved singing in church, where his voice and spirit reflected the sincerity of his faith. Whether through worship, fellowship, or quiet acts of kindness, he lived his beliefs with humility and gratitude, drawing strength and peace from his faith throughout the years.

Above all else, Bill’s greatest love was his family. He deeply cherished the traditions that brought everyone together and looked forward each year to celebrating Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving surrounded by those he loved most. Bill held a particularly special place in his heart for his great-nieces, Elin and Lacey Isaacson, whom he adored with immense pride and affection. Watching them grow brought him tremendous joy, and he was comforted and happy knowing that they would carry forward his spirit, values, and legacy for generations to come.

Bill is survived by his brother, Russell E. (Heidi) Buesink, niece Brooke R. (Todd) Isaacson, great nieces Elin and Lacey Isaacson, all of Jamestown, NY, great nieces Emily Isaacson of Tampa, FL, and Holland Isaacson of Charlotte, NC, nephew, Russell E.
