Steven A. Woleben ,83, of Westfield, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at St Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pa with his family at his side. Steve was born on January 11, 1943 in Westfield, NY the son of the late Arthur and Beulah (nee McIntyre) Woleben. He married the former Mary Ann McCarthy on October 26, 1963 in Westfield, NY. Steve is survived by his loving wife of almost 63 years Mary Ann Woleben; two loving children, Kimberly (Barry) Underwood of Westfield, NY and Mark S. Woleben of Fredonia, NY; four cherished grandchildren, Brandon (Deanna) and Alexander (Viviana) Underwood, Matthew and Amanda Woleben; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Emilio, Emory and Broc Underwood; as well as a sister-in-law, Donna Woleben. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy L. Woleben. Steve was a lifelong Westfield resident who graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School in 1961. He worked for a couple over the road trucking companies, including Hammermill Paper Company out of Erie, PA before finally settling at UPS in Dunkirk, NY where he retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Brocton American Legion where he was an active social member. He served as personnel coordinator for the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall when it was onsite and he took great care in helping to maintain the lawn and landscaping at the Legion for many years. He also was a life member of the Westfield Moose Lodge # 118. Steve loved classic cars, golf and bowling. He coached youth bowling at Barcelona Lanes for a number of years. He enjoyed many golf trips with “the guys” and he also participated in the Retiree’s League at Pinehurst Golf Course in Westfield. One of his greatest joys was cruising with his wife in his 1971 Buick Skylark Convertible which he would take the classic car shows in the area. Friends may call at the Brocton American Legion, 110 W. Main St. Brocton, NY on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 1-5 PM for a celebration of Steve’s life.
