Sharon K. Jenkins

1955-2026

Sharon K. Jenkins, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, at her home in Lakewood, NY. She was born on January 3, 1955, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Norman and Marilyn Palmer Pedersen. A 1973 graduate of Jamestown High School, Sharon married Jeffrey Jenkins on November 29, 1974, at Zion Covenant Church. Sharon worked for many years in the dietary departments at Lutheran and Heritage Village. As a devoted fan of the Jamestown Jammers, she and her family enjoyed hosting players during the summer seasons. In addition to her husband, Jeff, she is survived by her daughter, Jessyca Jenkins of Ludlow, MA, and her son, Jonathan Jenkins of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Holden, Molly, and Tobin Bernier of Ludlow, MA; her brother, Richard Pedersen (the late Jennifer) of Woodbridge, CA; her sister, Kathleen (Joseph) Vaccaro of Jamestown, NY; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Eugene and Mariam Sword Jenkins. Services will be held at Lind Funeral Home on Thursday, May 21st at 1:00 p.m., led by Rev. Jay Baehr. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for 1 hour prior to the service Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
