The memorial service for Robert G. Ortendahl, 96, of Jamestown, who died April 19, 2026, will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed by Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Buffalo as an account executive. He was also a part-time employee of the Jamestown City Parks and Recreation Department.
Surviving are four children Lynne (John) Ecklund, Jon (Julie) Ortendahl, Claire Tomassini and Janet (Rob) Holcomb; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
