Richard A. Saullo
1948-2026
Richard A. Saullo
Richard A. Saullo, 78, a dear father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Dunkirk Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
A lifelong area resident, he was born April 25, 1948, in Jamestown, the son of the late Jasper and Theresa (LaPlaca) Saullo.
Rich was a 1966 graduate of Jamestown High School. Before his retirement in 2016, he was employed by Jamestown Dental Lab.
He loved cars, especially antique cars, and was a member of the Chautauqua Lake Region Antique Car Club of America for several years. He was also a member of the Jamestown Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1681, Jamestown Babe Ruth Committee, and Sertoma Club.
He enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, golfing, and bowling. Rich loved NASCAR and watching reruns of M*A*S*H and Cheers. He was profoundly curious, found joy looking up places he heard about on a map, and sharing random tidbits and “fun facts” he picked up along the way. He was serious but also goofy. Rich was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen A. (Raeon) Saullo whom he married March 17, 1978 in Jamestown; two daughters: Lori (Roy) Brandes of Elm Grove, LA; Stephanie (Jeff) Feliciano of Malaysia; a son, Cory (Jillian) Saullo of Durham, NC; seven grandchildren: TJ Brandes, Jacob Brandes, Phillip Brandes, Jordan Hallberg, Alexzandria Saullo, Lucciavelli Saullo, and Olivia Feliciano; two brothers: David Saullo of Ocala, Florida and Mark Saullo of Russell, PA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Saullo; daughter, Lisa Hallberg; and a son, Richard M. Saullo.
A brief memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 15, in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Timothy J. Hoyer, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church will officiate.
Friends will be received by the family from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
