Patricia A. Fuchs
Patricia A. Fuchs, 85, of Frewsburg, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at home.
Patricia was born in Erie, PA. She attended Villa Marie Academy in Erie and Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. In her early years, Pat was employed as an advertising artist for the Boston Store of Erie. After moving to the Jamestown area, Pat received a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of New York.
She taught at R.H. Jackson Elementary School in Frewsburg for 20 years and was the technology coordinator for the elementary school. After retiring, Pat began volunteering at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. As a dedicated volunteer she accumulated over 7,000 hours of service. As part of her volunteering, she fostered over 500 kittens for the shelter.
Pat was an avid reader, enjoyed needlework and many kinds of crafts, and liked gardening and growing house plants. Some of her favorite times were those spent with her granddaughter and caregiver, Rachael Gray.
She is survived by her son James Fuchs and her daughter Karen (Kevin) Harding, both of Jamestown; her granddaughter Rachael (Steven) Gray of Pittsfield, PA; a great-grandson Alex; her sister Carole (Rick) Hammond of Saegertown, PA; and her niece Meghan Hammond of Voorheesville, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Richard, her husband of 60 years.
Burial will be in Allen Cemetery. No visitation will be observed.
