Linda E. (Nichols) Bailey, 80, of East Mosher Street, Falconer, formerly of Brookside Estates, Jamestown, entered her eternal home on Monday (May 18, 2026) at home with her family at her side, while under the care of Hospice.
She was born November 20, 1945 in Salamanca, the daughter of the late Arnold and Doris (Finch) Nichols.
Linda attended Randolph Central School and been a Home Maker while living in Salamanca.
She had also worked at Brooks Markets in Ellicottville and Parkview in Salamanca.
She was a lifetime member of the Seneca Nation Fire Department in Jimersontown (Salamanca) where she served as Fire Police and Steward of the Department. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, knitting, needle point and sewing.
Linda is survived by three daughters, Sharon Donaldson of Frewsburg, Cheryl (Darin) Fedick of Falconer and Susan (Roy) Wagoner) of Salamanca,.13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren and a brother, Theodore Nichols Sr. of Little Valley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Doris, her husband of 60 years, Alfred Levi Bailey, whom she married on September 18, 1965 in the Napoli United Methodist Church and who preceded her on February 24, 2025, two sisters; Marlene and Elizabeth, two brothers, George and Sam, a grandson Levi Fedick and a great grand-daughter Sophia Frank.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services held. The VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph was entrusted with his care. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced.
