Elinor R. Farnham

Ruth was a 1969 graduate of Westfield and Academy School. She had worked for Quality Markets in Westfield, was owner of Precision Computer also in Westfield and was also a devoted homemaker, helping to raise her three children. She had belonged to the West Portland Baptist Church where she loved teaching children in Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at Family Life, quilting, sewing, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Gerald “Gary” D. Farnham, whom she married September 15, 1973, three children, David (Shawna) Farnham of Westfield, Benjamin (Alesia) Farnham of Cassadaga, and Amy (Josh) Belcher, of Westfield, and three grandchildren, Logan, Soloman, and Hunter Farnham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Reynolds.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the West Portland Baptist Church (7081 Route 20, Westfield, NY). The Rev. Gary Henry will officiate. Burial will be in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service, from 11:00 to 12:00, also at the church.
