Daniel H. Seastrum

He was born July 11, 1946 in Jamestown, the son of the late Henry and Ethelyn Kesby Seastrum.

Dan was a graduate of Bemus Point High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1966 to 1968. He was employed by Alltel, then Windstream for 49 years retiring in 2015.

He attended Ellery Baptist Church and was a member of the Ellery Volunteer Fire Department. Dan will be remembered for always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Surviving are his three children: Amy Jo (Matt) Catlett, Wendy L. Seastrum, Daniel C. (Bethany) Seastrum all of Bemus Point; eight grandchildren: Brianna Plaster, Jenna Plaster, Sarah Berg, Kendra Berg, Sky Tarpacki, Anna Claire (Zeke) Olson, Madilyn Seastrum, Ian Catlett; two brothers: Edwin (Terry) Seastrum of Latham, NY, Kennethy Seastrum of Erie, PA; two sisters: Sharon (Greg) Moran of Jamestown, Barbara (Robert) Rappole of Bemus Point.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary S. Depledge Seastrum whom he married September 7, 1971 in the Ellery Baptist Church, who died August 20, 2018.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Ellery Baptist Church, 4487 Dutch Hollow Rd., Bemus Point. Rev. Jeremy Maslin will officiate. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home.
