Beverly J. Walsh

1945-2026

Beverly J. Walsh, 80, of Jamestown, formerly of Sinclairville and Falconer passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

A lifelong area resident she was born December 25, 1945 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Fred and Madeline Van Tilburg Maisto.

Bev was a 1963 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to retirement she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Falconer Central School from 1975 to 2008.

She was a member of the Kiantone Fire Department Auxiliary and Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Bev served as a Village Trustee for the Village of Sinclairville and was instrumental with the construction of the tennis courts at Sinclairville Park. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, trips to the casino, reading and playing cards, particularly with her brothers and sisters. The family card games were a competitive & entertaining social event!

Surviving is her husband, George J. Walsh, Jr., whom she married December 5, 1964 in Jamestown; three sons: Timothy A. Walsh of St. Petersburg, FL, Brian M. Walsh of Jamestown, Mark D. (Debbie) Walsh of Frewsburg; six grandchildren: Jessica Walsh, Patrick Walsh, Hannah Walsh, Brittany Walsh, Jared Walsh and Samantha Walsh; two brothers: Larry (Mary) Maisto of Houston, Texas, Dennis Maisto of Lakewood, NY; three sisters: JoAnne (Mike) Trostle of Fort Worth, Texas, Pamela (Craig) Lundgren of Ashville, Helen (Joe) Leonard of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Maisto and Shar Maisto.

On Monday, May 18th, there will be a viewing from 11:30-1:30 pm followed by a Funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Don Watkins pastor of Catholic Neighbors in Faith Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be donated to the COPD Foundation at WWW.COPDfoundation.org.
