Vivian G. Schauers

Vivian G. Schauers, 99, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing.

She was the widow of Francis J. “Bud” Schauers whom she married Aug. 4, 1947 and who died Oct. 15, 2000.

Vivian was born in Jamestown on Aug. 18, 1926, the daughter of the late George and Clara Delforce Adams, and was a graduate of Celoron High School. In earlier years, she was employed by Jamestown Mutual before starting and raising her family.

Vivian belonged to the Home Bureau and her Ladies Club comprised of her Celoron high school friends. It was during high school years that she received the nickname, ‘Fifi’. She enjoyed crafting and loved animals, having rescued many strays over the years. Her family will remember her as a good homemaker, mother, grandmother, cook and seamstress.

Surviving are three daughters: Paula Smith, Pamela Schauers and Penny Anderson, all of Jamestown; eight grandchildren: Rick (Jen) Froah, Melissa (Dave) Edwards, Alicia (Tage) Swan, Holly Swan, Joshua Holmes, Heather (Bob) Kersten, Sarah Holmes, and Jesse Anderson; 14 great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Morton, and two brothers, William and George Adams.

A private graveside service will be held in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
