Susan Diane Shearer
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Susan Diane Shearer, 71, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in her home in Westfield, New York.
She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and faithful disciple of Christ. Her life was rooted in unwavering faith, which guided her actions, her relationships, and the way she showed up for others each day. She had a servant’s heart–always giving, always caring, and always putting the needs of others before her own.
Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother, creating lasting memories, offering wisdom, and surrounding her loved ones with unconditional love. As a sister and friend, she was a steady source of strength, encouragement, and kindness.
She was deeply involved in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer support, or bring people together. Her presence made a difference, and her impact will continue to be felt by all who knew her.
Above all, she lived a life that honored her faith and her family–two things she cherished most.
She is survived by her loving children, Greg (wife, Danielle of Fulshear, Texas) and Michael (wife, Cassandra of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina) Cranston; her cherished grandchildren, Avery, Brettlyn, Carsyn, Everly, and Olivia; her dear siblings, Carol Best, Pamela Fahnestock and Laura Shearer; and a host of extended family members and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date, and details will be shared on her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/share/1Cd5xrACzX/?mi
