Stella K. Dynys

A Jamestown resident all her life, she was born April 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Solek Dynys, Sr.

A 1944 graduate of Jamestown High School, she had been employed by Jamestown Credit Bureau for many years until her retirement.

She was a devoted communicant of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and member or the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking and cooking.

Surviving are three nephews: Edward Dynys of Jamestown; Joseph (Shelley) Dynys of New Kensington, PA; and Steve (Sharon) Dynys of Smethport, PA; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Theodore Dynys and Joseph Dynys, Jr. and nephews, Frederick and Theodore Dynys.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Friday in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, Holy Cross Cemetery, or Ted Dynys Endowment Fund at JCC.
