Linda M. Leonard
Linda Mae Leonard 78, passed peacefully at her home on April 23, 2026. She was born in Jamestown NY on July 4, 1947 to the late Alvin J. and Twyla M. (Curtis) Cooper and graduated from Jamestown High School.
Linda was employed by Matco Tools for many years. Following her retirement she did Home Health Care and volunteered as a reading aide at Washington Middle School.
If you knew Linda, you knew her love for her family, friends and her rescue pet Honey. She loved Bingo. She loved sharing her knowledge of birds and could often be found soaking up the sunshine whenever she could. She brought so many smiles to family gatherings by dressing in the appropriate holiday attire, always matching socks and bringing her famous fudge. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed but the memories will live on in our hearts and conversations.
Surviving Linda is her son Travis (Jaynie) Leonard of Bemus Point; four grandchildren: Logan Button, Aiden, Abigail and Abel Leonard; a brother, Wayne Cooper; and sister, Diane Gilbert both of Jamestown; and so many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tyson Leonard; sisters, Sharon Louise Cooper and Barbara Ziebart; a brother, LeRoy Cooper; and two grandchildren, Malachi and Angel Leonard.
Following Linda’s wishes, no service or visitation will be observed. Burial will be in Bentley Cemetery.
