Jill R. Eklund

She was born on Oct. 26, 1968 in Bradford, PA, to Richard and Susan Roggenbaum. She grew up in Jamestown, NY, graduated from JHS in 1986, and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. She was the Senior Executive Coordinator of the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy. She also served as the Vice President of the Jamestown Skating Club Board of Directors.

Jill loved nothing more than her family. She donated much of her time to aiding her friends and family and volunteering for the Jamestown Skating Club. She was a supportive and strong wife, daughter, sister, and mother. Jill enjoyed reading and was the go-to for friends and family to proofread and edit their writing. She was a reliable, responsible person who one could talk to about anything and lend a helping hand.

Surviving is her husband, Todd E. Eklund, whom she married in 2009, and daughter, Elise Eklund of Jamestown; stepsons, Tyler and Dylan Eklund (Courtney) of Warren, PA; mother, Susan Sundquist (Chuck Evans) of Maryland; brother, David Roggenbaum of Jamestown, sister, Dana Roggenbaum of Virginia, and brother, Robert Sundquist (Kelly Olmsted) of Frewsburg; nephews, Spencer, Carter, and Drew Roggenbaum, niece, Tyra Sundquist, great-niece, Aria Williams; and step-grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Eklund.

Jill is preceded in death by her father, Richard O. Roggenbaum and maternal grandmother, Rose Alsdorf.

Friends and family will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 pm Monday, April 13, with a brief funeral service following at 7 pm at Lind Funeral Home. She will be buried in St. Bernards Cemetery in Bradford.
