Cindy L. Ellis (Liliestedt)

Cindy L. Ellis (Liliestedt)

Cindy L. Ellis (Liliestedt) of Falconer, NY, passed away unexpectedly following illness in Erie, PA on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, surrounded by family she loved so dearly.

Born on April 13, 1957, in Jamestown, NY, Cindy was the daughter of the late T. Allen “Bud” Liliestedt and Dolores Bracey (Michielsen).

She dedicated much of her life to the care of others, working for many years as a nurse’s aide in local nursing homes, and most recently at CareGivers prior to her retirement.

Cindy lived life with her whole heart. Later in life, she met and married Jeffrey Ellis, with whom she shared a beautiful chapter filled with travel, gardening, and feeding their many hummingbirds and orioles. Together, they enjoyed swimming, music, singing, dancing, and caring for their sweet senior rescue cat “Lucky.” Cindy was a bit of a prankster, especially in her youth, always enjoyed a good joke, movie, cooking for those she cared about, and helping animals. Cindy was feisty, outspoken, fiercely determined, had an incredible laugh, and held a sparkle in her blue eyes that we will never forget.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Dolores, and her sister, Candy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Ellis; sisters, Carol Woodard and Carla Bissell; daughter, Jesse (Christian) Cornell, and grandchildren, Henry and Aidan, daughter, Christine (Jay) Gordon (Cornell) and grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, Evan (and great-granddaughter, Violet), Julian, and Brennan; stepdaughter, Anna Burris, and grandchildren, Allexis, David, and Kevin, and stepson, Raymond (Krystal) Ellis.

A memorial service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held Saturday, April 25th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 181 Martin Rd., Jamestown. The family will receive visitors from 2-3 p.m. and a Memorial talk will begin promptly at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, with the notation “In Memory of Cindy L. Ellis”; online at www.stjude.org/donate/. Share condolences at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
