Brenda L. Hagadorn

A Jamestown resident most of her life, she was born Oct. 25, 1944, the daughter of the late Elmer and Neva Peterson Carlson.

She was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from Brockport State University in 1966.

For 13 years, she was employed by the Jamestown Public School System as a 3rd grade teacher at Love Elementary School.

She was a devoted member of First Covenant Church where she sang in the Living Christmas Tree all 35 years of its existence.

Her other memberships include Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Vikings and Chautauqua Regional Quilt Guild.

She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time at Bear Lake. She was grateful for her amazing neighbors and many dear friends, but more than anything she loved her family.

Surviving are three children, Stacey (Randy) Daugharthy of Harmony, PA, Michael (Cathy) Hagadorn of Russell, PA and Jennifer (Matthew) Lion of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren, Erik (McKenzie) Daugharthy, Kate (Luke) Lynch, Erin and Emily Hagadorn, and Connor, Grant and Alex Lion; a great-grandson, Briggs Daugharthy; and a brother, Bryan (Kaye) Carlson of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hagadorn, whom she married July 1, 1967, and who died May 4, 2019.

The funeral will be held at 10 am Saturday, April 18, 2026, in First Covenant Church.

Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 5-8 pm Friday April 17, 2026, in the Lind Funeral Home.
