Sarah J. Lundmark

Sarah Janice Lundmark, 90, of Frewsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1935 at home in Ivory, a daughter of the late Harry G. and Sarah Bernice Lindstrom Eckman.

She attended school in a one room schoolhouse in Kiantone.

For many years, she was a member of Wiltsie Community Church, where she had been a member of the Ladies Aide.

Along with her late husband, Donald, she owned and operated a Guernsey dairy farm for many years.

Janice was proud of her Swedish heritage, cooking and baking many Swedish meals. She enjoyed reading, needlework, and looked forward to hosting family holidays.

She is survived by three daughters: Marilyn (Brian) Hinz of Fillmore, NY; Carolyn (Thomas) Vanstrom of Kennedy; Donna (Richard) Hill of Cattaraugus; two sons: Norman Lundmark of Frewsburg and Charlie (Stefanie) Lundmark of Kennedy; 15 grandchildren: Curtis (Sarah) Hinz, Sarah (Tim) Johnson, Marshall Hinz, Eric (Samantha) Vanstrom, Sandy (Samuel) Valvo, Tim (Brittany) Vanstrom, Jeanette (Aaron) Pullan, Derek (Michelle) Hill, Darin (Katie) Hill, Sarah (Nathan) Nickerson, Glen (Sara) Moss, Jr., Heidi (Trent) Mihalko, Grace Lundmark, Gabe Lundmark, Mary Lundmark; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, a son-in-law, Glen (Tina) Moss; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Lundmark, who passed away on Dec. 17, 2005; a daughter, S. Diane Moss; a great-granddaughter, Annika Vanstrom; and two brothers, Allen and Albert Eckman.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Wiltsie Community Church, Russell, PA. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell.

Friends will be received from 5-8 pm on Friday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg and for one hour prior (10-11 am) to the service on Saturday at the church.
