Richard Allan Nowell Sr.

The memorial service for Richard Allan Nowell Sr., 85, formerly of Jamestown, NY passed away on Feb. 22, 2026, will be held at 5 pm Thursday March 19, 2026, in the Lind Funeral Home, where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.

Prior to retirement, Richard was employed by the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer District and Carborundum Manufacturing Company.

Richard is survived by seven children: Cynthia McIntire (Michael), Richard Nowell Jr (Takako), Steven Nowell (Tess), Susan Thomas, Dana Nowell, Cory Nowell, and Melissa Nowell (Louis); 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl (Robert) Lawson and Diane (Tom) Casler.

He is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Brian Nowell, and his granddaughter, Amy Ellen Nowell.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm Thursday March 19, 2026, in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
