Mary D. Cusimano, 97, of Hunt Road, died Friday in her home.
Born February 10, 1929, in Jamestown, she was one of eleven children of the late Richard and Mary Runfola Lisciandro.
She was a 1947 graduate of Jamestown High School. She went on to a career in the secretarial field having worked for Jamestown Mutual Insurance, Unigard Insurance and lastly Empire State College. Mary served as president of the Secretaries Association from 1979-80 and was named Secretary of the year in 1981.
She was a faithful communicant of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Her leisure time was spent baking, reading, sewing, knitting and taking trips to the casino. She adored her family and will be remembered for the love she gave to her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was a blessing to all of them.
Surviving is a daughter Julie (Michael) Vogle of Jamestown and two grandsons Joshua (Brittany) Vogle and Zachary both of Jamestown.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Julius Cusimano, whom she married April 29, 1950, and who died August 24, 2013; her son David Cusimano; sisters Dorothy Gullo, Josephine Eppolito, Cusima Bonfiglio, Francis Ferrari and Concetta Inserra and brothers Samuel, John, Charles, Joseph and Leonard Lisciandro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, March 4th in SS Peter and Paul Catholci Church.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 4-6 pm Tuesday March 3rd in the Lind Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
