Gerald (Jerry) Nordland

Gerald (Jerry) Nordland, age 81, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA. Jerry was born July 31, 1944 to Lawrence and Agnes Nordland and lived his childhood in Ashville, NY.

Jerry graduated SWCS 1962 and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute ROTC 1967. Jerry spent the next 10 years serving in the Navy followed with time in Reserves. After serving in the military, Jerry raised his family and worked in California, Massachusetts, and Washington with many years in Arizona.

Jerry is survived by daughter, Andrea (Richie) Drakes, Roslindale, MA, sons, Jeff (Lilian) Nordland, Jason (Stephanie) Nordland, Jeremy (Janice) Nordland, and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Carolyn Schneider, Phyllis Huling, Janette Coleson, Cynthia Linebarger and one brother, A. Morris Nordland and extended family members.

Donations in Jerry memory may be made to Ashville Library, Ashville, NY. As per the family wishes, a Celebration of Life will be observed at a later date.
