Emelia R. Richmond
Emelia R. Richmond, 89, of Jamestown passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in UPMC Chautauqua.
She was born Aug. 11, 1936 in San Cristobal Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, the daughter of the late Isidro Rojas and Elvira Herrera. Emelia immigrated to the United States in 1959 and became a US citizen in 1995.
Prior to retirement, Emelia was employed in the housekeeping department at WCA Hospital. While employed at WCA Emelia was thought of as a valued employee and respected by her co-workers and staff of WCA.
Emelia enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, and cooking.
Surviving are three daughters: Ada Reddinger of Monongahela, PA; Emelia (Scott) Harley of Dunkirk, NY; Sara Richmond of Dunedin, Florida; grandchildren: Matthew Reddinger, Jason Reddinger both of Monongahela, PA; Jessica (Shaun) Nelson of Macedon, NY; Dr. Andrew (Molly) Lindquist of Cheektowaga, NY; Sean Lodestro (Meghan Buchanan) of Clearwater, Florida; Colin Lodestro of Frewsburg; great-grandchildren: Lucas and Isabel Lodestro; Oliver and Benjamin Nelson; and Abner and Daley Lindquist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Richmond Jr. whom she married Feb. 14, 1958 in Mexico, who died April 18, 2003; and a son, Robert M. “Ozzy” Richmond III on Dec. 2, 2008, and son-in-law, Michael Reddinger.
As per Emelia’s wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
