Dan Wayne Babyak

Born Oct. 4, 1950, in Jamestown, New York, Dan was a graduate of Bemus Point High School. He was a long-time resident of the Jamestown area, where he worked for 40 years at Carborundum in Falconer.

Following his retirement, he relocated to Sierra Vista, Arizona. Dan was a man of deep faith and a member of Fluvanna Community Church in New York and later Sierra Vista First Baptist Church. He is remembered for his immense generosity and the kindness he showed to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty (Hollings) Babyak, and his son, Daniel Scott Babyak.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Babyak of Sierra Vista; his daughter, Heather Babyak of Jamestown; and his brother, David Babyak of Jamestown. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amanda (Dale) Wilkinson, Zach (Nicole) Colgrove, Jenna States, Kevanna Babyak, Samantha Burkett, Lillian Babyak, Aurora Babyak, Trevor Lee, Michaela (Rueban) Jagger, and Ray Ross Babyak; and his great-grandchildren: Samuel, Peyton, Raelynn, Mikasa, and Freya.

In keeping with Dan’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Following cremation in Arizona, his family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a veterans organization of your choice.
