Robert C. “Butch” Gutknecht
Robert C. “Butch” Gutknecht, 77, of Jamestown, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was born in Jamestown on September 5, 1948, to the late Robert C. and Elsie Sheldon Gutknecht.
Butch was a computer programmer, working for Cummins Engine Co. for many years. He adored working on cars, cherishing old, antique models throughout his decades. Radio control also held his interest; further, he could often be seen riding his e-trike around town.
Butch will be dearly missed by his wife, Diana; his children, Timothy (Karla) Gutknecht, Tammy Gutknecht, Melissa Gutknecht, and Michelle Monroe; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his sister, Dianne Regner; and his brothers, Jay and Richard Gutknecht.
In keeping with Butch’s wishes, no visitation or service will be observed.
