Peter E. Swartz Jr.
Peter E. Swartz Jr., 77, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at his home on Feb. 5th after a long and difficult battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 3rd, 1948, in Jamestown, and was preceded in death by his parents Sophie and Peter Swartz, and his sister Barbara Swartz.
Pete worked for a time at Proto Tool and Moon Brook Country Club before spending most of his career at Bush Industries, from where he eventually retired. Pete was a punctual person and was always early to family events and gatherings. You could always count on him to be there when he said he would be and was frequently recognized for perfect attendance at work. He enjoyed riding his Harley and watching football, especially cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills. A devout Catholic, he found great meaning in attending Mass at Ss. Peter & Paul Church.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Swartz, and his two sons, Justin Swartz and Jeremiah Swartz, who carry forward the parts of him that were steady, resilient, and uniquely his.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, from 5-6 pm in the Lind Funeral Home, where a prayer service will also be held at 6 pm at Lind’s.
