Nancy Ellen Palmer
Nancy Ellen Palmer (Buffone), 78, of Jamestown, NY has gained her eternal wings and is now reunited with her parents.
Born July 2, 1947, the daughter of loving adoptive parents Alof and Ellen Palmer, Nancy grew up in Lakewood, NY attending Southwestern Central School District.
For 3 decades she was a Loss and Asset Prevention Investigator within the retail industry, beginning as Investigator working up to Regional Director. Upon her return to the area, she followed her true passion of caring for others and became a Registered Nurse, working for 17 years at WCA (now UPMC Chautauqua) where she impacted the many lives of those she worked with as evidenced in the care she received while in her final days.
A lover of all animals, Nancy rescued numerous cats throughout the years and made yearly donations to the Humane Society and ASPCA.
Nancy leaves behind beloved family members as well as friends whom she considered family that will miss her dearly including her fur babies, Hope and Ellie. She was preceded in death by her parents Alof and Ellen and a grandson.
Friends will be received from 4-6 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Lind Funeral Home, 805 W. 3rd St., Jamestown NY. There will be no graveside service.
Nancy has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in her name to the ASPCA (www.aspca.org) or the Humane World for Animals (www.humaneworld.org).
