Lois M. Carlson

1933-2025

Lois Marie (Rashbrook) Carlson, 92, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away at her residence at Pikes Peak Post Acute Care Center on Dec. 21, 2025. Lois was born in Jamestown, NY on Aug. 17, 1933.

Lois was a graduate of Bemus Point High School. As an adult learner and working full time, she earned an A.A. Social Services from Jamestown Community College in 1991, and a B.S. from SUNY Empire State University in 1996. She worked for Chautauqua County Department of Social Services in Jamestown, as a social worker,for 25 years.

After retiring, Lois and her husband Allen, livedin Folsom, CA for few years and moved to Colorado Springs in 2001. Lois is survived by her two sons, Allen Jr. “Skip” (Denise) and Jeffery “Jeff”(Annette); daughter, Jody (Benek); several grandchildren, Tricia, Melissa, Holly, Caden, Jacob, Sarah, Audrey , Andrew, Ashley, and Scott; great-grandchildren,(Elisabeth, Madeleine, Gregory, Dustin, Sadie, Tylor, and JayLynn; and a great-great grandson, Jimmy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Sr.; son, Eric; grandson, Rick; her brother, Samuel “Bud” Rashbrook; and her parents, Samuel Rashbrook and Irma (Haskell) Barnett.

A memorial service will be held in Arizona on March 1, 2026.
