1961-2026

Linda Dale (Berlund) Kelley, 64, of 150 Howard St. Jamestown, NY passed away due to heart complications on Jan. 31, 2026 at UPMC Chautauqua with family and friends by her side. She was born on May 13, 1961 to her mother, Willa Lamb (Berlund) Douglas and to her late father, Richard A. Berlund.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kelley, five aunts, three uncles and three cousins.

She is survived by her mother; her step father, Kenneth Paul Douglas, her brothers, Richard Berlund Jr of Jamestown, Kenneth Berlund of Celeron and Robert Berlund of Stanford, NC; a niece, Hannah (Kevin) Newman of Clearwater, Florida; her nephews, Nathan (Keeya) Berlund, Kenneth Berlund of Celeron, Zachary (Andrea) Berlund of Celeron; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Linda graduated from Cassadaga Valley in 1979. She was proud she maintained an A+ average throughout school, but also had many trips sent down to the principal’s office for standing up for her rights and others and/or openly voicing her opinion. She worked in several local restaurants, 12+ years at Bush Industries, and 14 years at Heritage Park nursing facility where she made the residents laugh and looked forward to her visits.

Linda enjoyed marathon Scrabble games with her two aunts and competing against her mom solving puzzles. She loved writing poetry and spending time with her nieces and nephews, attending large family gatherings, lunch dates with her many cousins, she dearly loved her dachshund “Little E”, sitting on the porch swing at her Uncle Ken’s and enjoying nature.

Linda will be remembered for her outgoing personality, for her love of family and friends and for all the stray animals she fed and sheltered.

Linda loved to write poetry, the family would like to share a poem she wrote for her mother when she was younger; “My dreams come true, would be to live in a world without hatred or misunderstandings. To walk up to someone and say I Like You no matter what color they may be. To be friends with different countries, sharing customs and universal knowledge. To be able to be me without criticism of actions be they right or wrong. To be able to breathe without fear of tomorrow.”

Per her request there will be no services, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Chautauqua Humane Society in memory of Linda.

Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
