Laurie Frederick-Taylor, 66, of Route 394, Town of Randolph, went home to be with the Lord at 8:58 PM, Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at home with her family and dogs at her side.
She attended Pine Valley Central School, class of 1978. She was a graduate of the former Rafael School of Beauty Culture in Jamestown and Jamestown Community College. Prior to her illness, she worked for Cummins Engine in Ashville. Earlier on, she had worked at the former Truck-Lite in Falconer. She was also a certified foster care parent with Cattaraugus County from 1989- 1996.
Laurie was a member of the Randolph American Legion Auxiliary Unit 181 and the Ellington Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club. As an animal lover, Laurie raised and showed Pomeranian Dogs.
She loved spending time with her family and grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, soulmate and caregiver; David D. Taylor, a daughter, Juli (Daniel) Bender of Kennedy; grandchildren, Zackary (Haylee) Huddleston, Grace Bender and Emilee Bender; great-grandchildren, Layla, Alaina, Violet and arriving soon; Jarred.
She is also survived by two sisters; Bonnie (Bob) Stewart of Steamburg and Roxie Peterson of Kennedy; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Kevin Covey ) Stewart, Joshua (Erica) Stewart, Jami Peterson, Jacob (Alexa) Stewart and Jeremy (Taylor) Peterson; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. Frederick and Grace L. Bentley Frederick, a son, Jarred Kyle Frederick on July 13, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, March 2, 2026 at the VANRENSSELAER & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, where the family will be present to receive family and friends from 12 to 2 PM prior to the service. The Rev. Mark Emke will officiate. Burial will be in the Sample Hill Cemetery, Randolph.
