Joanne Marie Manno

Joanne Marie Manno

Joanne Marie Manno, born to William and Sarah (Sally) Vaccaro on Dec. 3, 1942, in Jamestown, New York, entered into eternal life on Feb. 1, 2026. She was a devoted wife and mother whose love for her family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Donald Manno, of Castle Pines, Colorado, and their three children: Kimberly (James) Holdridge, William Manno, and Krista (Corey) Hill.

Joanne was especially proud of her eight grandchildren: Nathan (Aubrey), Aaron, Sydney, Carissa, Evan, Grant, Gwen, and Gabe, whom she often described as the smartest and most beautiful grandchildren in the world.

Joanne was a graduate of Jamestown High School, Class of 1960. She worked as a bookkeeper at Montagna’s New and Used Furniture Store, retiring in 1998. She was an active member of St. James Parish. In retirement, she moved to New Hampshire, beat breast cancer, and eventually settled in Colorado. At every stage of life, she remained strong in her faith.

Outside of her family, work, and faith, her next love was Diet Coke, which was rarely far from her side. She was famously known for making the best spaghetti and brownies; meals and treats that became treasured family traditions.

Joanne’s love of cooking was rooted in her love of gathering with friends, family, and neighbors. She was often the one planning the cookout, hosting the event, and making space for love and laughter.

Joanne’s personality was instantly engaging; she made friends everywhere she went. She instilled the values of kindness, service, and compassion in her children and grandchildren, a legacy that will continue for generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Vaccaro.

A service will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Church,10675 Jaguar Drive, Lone Tree, Colorado 80124, on Feb. 26, 2026 at 11am.
