James Justin Hall

James Justin Hall, 87, of Clymer, N.Y. and formerly of Pamama, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026 at Erie VA Center, Erie, PA.

James was born at home in the town of Harmony, N.Y. on Aug. 2, 1938, the son of the late Herman P. and Lucinda “Lucy” Badders Hall.

James attended Panama Methodist Church as a child, and he went to Sunday School and Bible School at Lime Lake. James was a Boy Scout and then an Explorer and worked on staff at Camp Merz.

He attended Panama Central School and then served in U.S. Naval Reserve for a year. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1955-1958 as an aircraft mechanic on B-52’s and was on Air Control on 99th Bombardment Wing as field maintenance.

James was a life member of AMVETS Post #50, Vietnam Veterans Club- life member, Jamestown Eagles Club Post# 1245, Lakewood Legion Post #1286, Llama Club Charter life member, Busti Men’s Club, North East Athletic Club, Corry Labor Club and Celoron Fish Club.

James had worked at a sawmill, delivered telegrams for Western Union, Sears & Roebok Tire Center, National Woosted Mills, Dowcraft and was self-employed owner and operator at Harmony Hill Enterprises for over 35 years.

James loved to travel and visit unique places with his family and friends and always enjoyed a good adventure. He loved hunting and guns. He raced cars at Stateline Speedway in his younger years.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Eileen L. Bush Hall, whom he married on Jan. 30, 1957, in Lakewood, N.Y., two sons: James N. Hall and David B. Hall and a brother: Clayton C. Hall.

James is survived by his long-time companion: Dortha D. Troup of Newton Falls, Ohio; a daughter, Susan L. Hall Abers of Panama, N.Y.; two daughters-in-law: Debra Hall of Randolph, N.Y. and May Hall of the Phillippines; grandchildren, Justin B. Hall of Panama, N.Y.; Melinda Berry of Warren, PA; Laura Hall, Melissa Hall and Tasha Mullen all of Jamestown, N.Y.; John Abers of Celoron, N.Y.; Amanda Gillum; Waylon Richardson; and Haley Hall; great-grandchildren: Michael and Grace Hall of Tyler, Texas and many great- grandchildren.

Per Jame’s request, no services will be observed.
