Jack C. Lindquist

Jack C. Lindquist (78), of Chautauqua Street, Kiantone passed away on Feb. 22, 2026 in his home.

He was previously employed by Anderson Precision Inc. (Anderson Screw Products) for more than 48 years, where he started as a machine operator and worked his way up to Operations Manager. Prior to his employment with Anderson Precision, he had been locally employed at Art Metal Knoll Corporation and Truck-Lite Corporation. In his younger days, he spent many weekends doing light construction work around the Jamestown area. He served in the U.S. Army receiving an honorable discharge in 1972.

He was a current member of the Moose Lodge and a past member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, VFW Post 53, and Skyline Archery Club. He served as past Chairperson and host of the Fresh Air Fund for many years. He was also involved in local politics, having served on the zoning board of the Town of Kiantone. Favorite pastimes included spending time with family and grandchildren, camping at Hidden Valley Camping Area, traveling, playing cribbage, picking vintage and antique items at garage sales and enjoying the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia A. (Kent) Lindquist, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1969; one daughter, Brenda A. Wares (Tim) of Sinclairville, NY; and one son, Kevin C. Lindquist (Alethea) of

Berkeley, CA. Two granddaughters, Katelin M. Wares of Sheffield, PA, and Allison E. Wares of Sinclairville, NY; one step-granddaughter, Frances, of Berkeley, CA; one sister, Delores J. Pattyson of Lakewood, NY; one brother, Wayne H. Lindquist (Elizabeth) of Maple Springs, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Lindquist in 1981, his mother, Bertha V. (Lindquist) Underwood in 2005 and his sister, Patricia A. (Lindquist) Miller in 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 7th in the Lind Funeral Home, 805 West Third St., Jamestown, New York where visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service.

Following the service, there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Napoli United Methodist Church, 10083 NY-242, Little Valley, NY.
