Gloria Hanes Colgrove

Gloria was a 1955 graduate of Cassadaga High School. She had worked as a Maintenance Clerk for Welch’s Foods in Westfield, NY for many years.

She was active with 4-H and served as a 4-H horse leader. Gloria and her family raised and showed Registered Quarter Horses and were members of the Portage Trail Riders and the American Quarter Horse Association. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield, where she served as a Deacon for many years, a member of the Lakeshore Square Dancing Club, the Crazy Eight Dancing Club and Cloud 9 Dancers and the Westfield Quilters Guild. She was a member of the Chautauqua Choir, the Westfield Community Choir and the Presbyterian Church Choir. She enjoyed spending winters in Tucson, AZ.

Gloria is survived by a son, Darrell W. Colgrove of Erie, PA; a daughter, Cynthia (Kevin) Testrake Seblink of Westfield, NY; two grandchildren, John R. (Natalie) Testrake of Oxford, AL; and Michael E. (Danielle) Testrake of Baltimore, MD; and one great-grandson, Rowan C. Testrake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren A. Colgrove Jr., whom she married on Oct. 29, 1955; and a sister, Ruth Ann Ertell.

A memorial service will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family and will be announced. Interment will be private and in the Westfield Cemetery.
