Cynthia S. “Cindy” Knapp

Cynthia S. “Cindy” Knapp, 77, of Frewsburg, passed away on Sat., Feb. 7, 2026 in Warren Manor, Warren, PA.

A lifelong resident of Frewsburg, she was born on Aug. 11, 1948 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Frank M. and Izora L.VanArsdale Knapp.

She attended Frewsburg Central School and was a member of the former Weidler United Brethren Church (EUB).

Cindy had worked at Don Gage, Inc., Shop-Rite, Frewsburg Hotel, and Lori’s Kountry Kitchen.

For over 30 years, she was the VanArsdale family secretary/treasurer keeping up with births, marriages, deaths, and any other family news. One of the many things she will be remembered for, is her love for her animals, her dogs, Minnie and Molly and her cat, Cuddles.

Cindy is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Bernard Mount, Jr.) Knapp of Jamestown and Mari Ellen “Ginger” Szwejbka of Amherst; grandchildren, Devin (Christine) Perez, Kody Luce, Skylar Luce, Josalyn Diana Szwejbka, Janelle (Craig) Young; great-grandchildren, Kaydin Perez, Sapphire Perez, Omi Burrows, Damon Andrew Burrows, Lauren Young, Owen Young; a sister, Bonnie L. (Don Anderson) Bush of Kiantone; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank (1959); her mother, Izora (2000), her grandson, Matthew Timothy Luce; her three brothers, Fred Knapp (2000), Phillip Knapp (2012), Roger W. Knapp (2016); her nephew, Bryan Knapp (2010); and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private service will be held in the spring. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

Cindy’s family would like to thank Sue and Jeff Matthews for their constant care and watching over Cindy and her roommate at Warren Manor, Dorothy Miller, for her prayers.
