Christine E. “Chris” White

Chris was born Oct. 18, 1959, in Greenport, NY, to the late Herbert and Louise Hann Egert. She graduated from Greenport High School in 1977 and later obtained her bachelor’s from SUNY Fredonia. For over 28 years, Chris worked for the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons and maintained her CPA license during that time.

Chris loved life and loved to laugh. Live music, singing, and dancing brought her great joy. She loved animals, especially her dog Trixie, who passed this previous August. Best friends were endless for Chris, as she loved them and they genuinely loved her back. Chris was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. Truly, she was full of love.

Chris is survived by her daughter, Ann White of Albany, NY; her brothers, Herbert (Amy) Egert of Venice, Florida, and George (Jeannine) Egert of Syosset, NY; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews, who are all deeply feeling her passing.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert “Bob” White, as well as her parents, Herbert and Louise.

The memorial service for Christine will be at 11 am on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at Lind Funeral Home. Reverend Jay Baehr will lead the service.
