Bonnie J. Fredeen
Bonnie Joanne Fredeen, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Jan. 25, 2026, in Winchester, Virginia, at the age of 75. She passed away surrounded by family and leaves behind a legacy of love that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Born on Nov. 1, 1950, in Western New York, Bonnie lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family. She had a way of making people feel welcomed and cared for, whether through her warm smile, her listening ear, or the countless acts of love that defined her days.
Bonnie was a devoted mother to her two sons and daughters-in-law, Cory (Kimberly) and Kris (Melissa) Schreckengost, whom she loved fiercely and supported unconditionally. Family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in time spent together. She also took great pride in her professional career as a business executive, bringing dedication and heart to everything she did.
In addition to her sons and daughters-in-law, she is survived by her grandchildren, Zack and Allie Schreckengost, and Elizabeth Shaffer; several stepchildren and step grandchildren; her beloved sisters Sue Dick and Cindy Bramer; her dog, Max, who was a constant source of companionship, comfort, and joy; and is reunited in rest with her husband, Carl Fredeen, her father, Charles Fierro, and mother, Dorothy Flading.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the legacy she leaves behind. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared so freely.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in Naples, Florida. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the V Foundation for Cancer Research (www.v.org) would be appropriate and greatly appreciated.
