Barbara J. Ziebart
Barbara J. Cooper Ziebart, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Jamestown on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.
She was born in Jamestown on July 23, 1941 to the late Alvin and Twyla Cooper and was a graduate of Jamestown High School. Barb’s employment included Vince’s Diner, Jamestown Sterling and Dickie’s Donuts where she met many friends along the way.
Barb, otherwise known to some as “Cricket”, loved spending time with family and friends. She was always ready to share a cup of coffee and conversation. A social person, she was never one to be too serious. She was always smiling, laughing and ready to share a good joke. Her light-hearted, positive nature helped her through many hardships she endured in her life.
Barb was a homemaker and caregiver for most of her life, caring for her mother, Twyla and her uncle, Fred in their final years of life, as well as her best friend and husband, Ernie until his death in 2016. Barb and Ernie shared many happy years together, enjoying simple pleasures like going out to eat, traveling, listening to country music, and their dog, Scooby.
Barb spent her remaining years living with her daughter, Lori in Jamestown and Florida where she enjoyed a quiet, relaxing life soaking up the sun and watching nature. Always up for a car ride and a trip to get ice cream – a love that she passed on to her children and grandchildren – her life was a testament to living simply and appreciating the small things.
Barb is survived by her five children and their families: Lori Marino of Jamestown, Michael (Judy) Warner of Deltona, Florida; David (Robyn) Warner of Jamestown; Jeffrey (Janel) Warner of Springville, TN; and Kevin (Patty) Warner; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Cooper, Linda Leonard, Wayne Cooper and Diane Gilbert; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
No visitation will be observed, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorials be made to the St. Susan Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown, NY 14701. To share your condolences, please visit www.lindfuneralhome.com.
