Thomas R. Morrison
Thomas R. Morrison, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 1, 1956 in Jamestown to the late Jane (Morrison) Kerr and Lee Morrison of Randolph, NY, Tom’s life was a reflection of his deep love for his family and his genuine kindness to others.
He was the devoted husband of Betty, the love of his life, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of marriage. Tom was the proud father of Melinda Covell (AJ) of Kennedy, NY, and Heather Morris (Robert) of Randolph, NY, and adored his grandchildren, Mia and Cole Morris, and Addison and Walker Covell.
A self-made man, Tom served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Independence after high school, then went on to build a successful career as an auto mechanic and truck driver. His reputation as a skilled mechanic and problem-solver was well known, but what truly set Tom apart was his willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was fixing a car for a friend, offering a hand to a neighbor, or lending an ear to someone going through a tough time, Tom was always there. His generosity knew no bounds, and he took great pride in using his talents to ease the burdens of those around him.
Tom was passionate about working on classic cars, fishing, hunting, traveling to Florida with Betty, and collecting antiques. But above all, he loved spending time with his family, who were his greatest joy and pride. His infectious laugh, quick wit, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tom is additionally survived by his siblings: Carol Parker of Randolph, NY; Diane Weaver of Jamestown, NY; James Morrison (Priscilla) of Conewango, NY; and Donald Morrison of Jamestown, NY. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
