Stephen L. Stenstrom
Stephen L. Stenstrom, 76, of Falconer NY passed away Jan. 2, 2026 at UPMC Hospital.
He was born in Jamestown NY on May 11, 1949 to the late Warren and Angeline Stenstrom.
Stephen attended Falconer High School and went on to work at Blackstone as a machinist. He later retired from Valeo/ Titan X as a tool and die maker. Stephen was a volunteer firefighter for the Falconer Fire Department for many years and received a service award of recognition that he was very proud of.
Stephen loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them as often as he could. He was known for his great sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him. He really enjoyed watching NASCAR races, football games, working on cars, and going to the casino. He also loved music and enjoyed dancing in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Stenstrom; his brother, George Stenstrom, sister, Cheryl (James) Boyer; his son, Morris (JoNell) Forbes; his daughters, Angela (John) Oakes, Brandy Golden, Natasha (Doug) Sundquist; grandchildren, Darren Oakes, Douglas (Aricca) Oakes, Danielle (Jeff) Chamberlain, Amanda (John) Forbes, Landon Hooks, Jaxon Sundquist, Dawson Sundquist, Aaliyah Golden, Sarah Golden, Natalie Golden; four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Angeline Stenstrom, a previous wife, Barbara J Maring Stenstrom, a brother, Warren Stenstrom Jr, and a niece, Nora Stenstrom.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday Jan. 9, 2026 at the Falconer Funeral Home. His cousin Ritchie Thompson will officiate at 7 pm.
