Sheridan “Bud” Cobb, Jr.
Sheridan “Bud” Cobb, Jr.
Sheridan “Bud” Cobb, Jr., 75, of Lakewood, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at UPMC Hamot, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Oct. 29, 1950, in Corry, PA, Bud was the son of Sheridan Cobb Sr. and Edith Jukes Cobb.
A proud graduate of Falconer Central School, Bud was active in baseball, football, and track. He began his career with Pepsi and, after two decades of dedicated service, transitioned to Little Debbie Snacks where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 2015 as a district manager. Bud found success throughout his career not only through hard work and integrity, but because he truly never met a stranger he didn’t like.
An avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Guardians, Bud cheered passionately for his teams. Above all though, he loved his family and built a life centered on kindness, generosity, and connection. Bud loved working with his wife Rose on multiple projects, especially renovating their cottage on the lake where they ultimately retired.
Bud is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rose Musante Cobb, whom he married Jan. 7, 1978; his daughters, Julie (Michael) Romaniw and Shera (Anthony) Berini; and his sons, Ed (Melanie) Coleman, Kevin (Melanie) Cobb, and Chris (Marla) Cobb. He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren who knew him as “pop pop”: Trace, Victoria, Kendall, Lily, Mathew, Cali, Ari, Carter, Michael, Francesca, and Dominic. As well as two great grandchildren, Tavius and Kaia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Carolyn (Denny) Cardone and Carol Cobb.
A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
