Janice E. Barmore

Janice Elizabeth Barmore, 95, a resident of Inverness for the past 8 years, died Jan. 15, 2026. Born in Jamestown, daughter of the late Everett and Gertrude (Lawson) Swanson. Married her husband, Verland in 1950. He preceded her in death.

Janice is survived by son, Douglas (Kathy) Barmore of Inverness; in-laws, Carol and Althea; Cecil (Barbara) Barmore, Dean (Judy) Barmore; grandchildren, Lori (Aaron) Gallivan, Keith Barmore, Brad (Crystal) Ring, Douglas (Johanna) Barmore, Jr., Derek (Stephanie) Ring, Jeremy (Katie) Barmore, Amber (John) Gray, Clayton (Lisa) Barmore; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in Gerry, NY on July 18th. Arrangements by the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
