Edgar Young Evans Jr.

Edgar was born on Dec. 7, 1962 to Edgar Evans Sr and Anna Mcnesby, on Fort Dix Army base in New Jersey. Ed as many people called him was a hard-working man. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his Father, Edgar Y Evans Sr; his stepmother, Patrica Evans; his brothers, Milton Evans , Thomas Evans (Faith); his children, Tanya Evans, Gina Jimmerson (Vincent) James Rivera, Edgar Y Evans III, Lynn Evans, many nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren, (Lacie, Julissa, Kiarah, Kiarah, Johnny Jr, Lydia, Kay-Lynn, Antwon Jr, Adonis, Owen, Jessika, Ryan, Avery, Isidro, Ezekiel, Leilani Aly, Clarianne, Alaray, Tyson).

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar T and Anna-May Evans; his youngest brother, Jimmy Evans; and his oldest son, Johnny Evans.

A visitation will be held at Jordan Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 from 6 PM-8 PM. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Stockton NY on Monday Jan. 19, 2026 at 2 PM.
