Donna J. Swartzentruber
Donna J. Swartzentruber
Donna J. Swartzentruber, 79, of Jamestown, passed away at Olean General Hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026. The daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline Frost Kriner, Donna was born in Port Allegany, PA on Oct. 25, 1946.
A 1964 graduate of Southwestern School, Donna spent her working years at L.J. Stein Insurance in Lakewood. She was a former member of the Busti Federated Church where she served in countless capacities. Her love for volunteerism was apparent in her work with the Babe Ruth World Series. So, too, Donna was an involved spirit at Bethel Baptist Christian Academy, remaining supportive of endless projects at the now Chautauqua Christian Academy.
Donna fancied hot air balloons, traveling to Alberquerqe twice to satisfy her with first-hand experience. Her favorite sports were hockey and baseball, cheering for the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Mets, alike.
Donna will be forever cherished by her son, CJ Kelley, of Jamestown; many nieces and nephews of the Ohio area with whom she stayed especially close; and friends who were truly family in caring acts and involved deeds, always referring to her as “Grandma Donna,” Paul and Michelle Mattson and their son, Jordan Mattson.
Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, George D. Kelley, who passed away Nov. 10, 1977, and her second husband, Warren E. Swartzentruber, whom she married July 14, 1984, and who passed away June 26, 2017.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Chautauqua Christian Academy Benevolent Fund, 200 Hunt Road, Jamestown, NY, or to the Jamestown Babe Ruth World Series, PO Box 1103, Jamestown, NY 14702.
