Deborah B. “Debbie” Costlow, 70, of High Acres, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1955 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Violet Olson Marsh.
Debbie attended Frewsburg Central School.
She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, loved to cook, and enjoyed listening to country music.
For many years, she and her family owned and operated the Star Motel in Lakewood and Hillside Motel on Foote Ave., Jamestown. She had also worked at the former Manor Oak Nursing Home and Best Western Hotel.
Debbie is survived by her two sons: Stephen (Cynde) Johnson and Philip Johnson; five grandchildren: Garrett Johnson, Jerecho Johnson, Anthony DeMarco, Gilliana Johnson, Annalie Johnson; a sister, Judith (Michael) Hettenbaugh; a brother-in-law, Gary Nourse; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Costlow, who passed away on Jan. 31, 2022; three brothers: Kenneth (Janet) Fish, Gary (Martha) Fish, Jim (Audrey) Fish; and a sister, Bonnie Nourse.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
