David P. Fye
David P. Fye, 85 of 2555 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida formerly of 26 Olive Ave., Lakewood, NY passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2025, peacefully in his home surrounded by family.
David was born May 20, 1940, in Johnstown, PA, a son of the late Merle and Edna Fye. Dave was employed at Cummins Engine in Lakewood, NY for over 25 years. Prior to this he worked for Crescent Tool and Manor Oak Nursing Home.
He was a member of the Chautauqua Lake Fish Club, the local CB Club where his handle was Wile E. Coyote. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his late wife Shirley. Dave was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, liked singing Karaoke, loved watching game shows, especially Price is Right, loved his red trucks, and most recently enjoyed visiting casinos with his close friend, John Martinelli.
Surviving are three sons, James (Linda) Fye of Lakewood, Gregory (Julie) Fye of Jamestown, and Terry (Michelle) Fye of Stevensville, MI; 10 grandchildren, Elyse Cyr, Vincent, Derek and Brady Fye, Kathy, David and Travis Fye, and Tyler, Trevor and Isabella Fye; nine great-grandchildren, Dawson and Haili Chamberlain, Garret, Krista and Natalie Fye, Grace, Emet and Tobias Cyr, and Hunter Fye; a brother, Eddie Fye; and three sisters, Patricia, Edna and Nancy. Also, his caregiver and friend, Angela Barr.
He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Fye, whom he shared 61 years of marriage with, and he patiently and lovingly cared for until her death in 2021. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
