Christopher R. Passamonte

Chris was born on June 9, 1969, to Samuel and Linda Passamonte in Jamestown, NY. After Chris graduated from Randolph Central School in 1987, he went on to study at SUNY at Fredonia where he graduated with a degree in English Education. He spent a short time as a substitute teacher in several local school districts. He then spent his adult career in human services serving children and adults.

He began at the Gustavus Adolphus Children’s Home where he met the love of his life. He then worked with the youth at the YMCA in Jamestown and later managed a STEL home.

Chris married Alicia M. Cole in 1998, and they raised her two sons, Benjamin (Natalie) Wrazen and Elijah (Keyona) Wrazen.

Chris was a talented and passionate musician and songwriter. He was a proud member of The Bogarts and founded lasting friendships and brotherhood with his bandmates.

Chris loved animals and nature. He enjoyed the outdoors.

Chris was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Cole Passamonte and his grandparents, Samuel and Mary Passamonte and Benjamin and Laura Aucoin.

He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Linda Passamonte; his sons, Benjamin and Elijah Wrazen; his siblings, Suzanne (Angela) Gutknecht and Shannon Passamonte; six grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1-4pm on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Lind Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Chris will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris’ memory to the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Rd, Jamestown, NY 14701, or to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd, Jamestown, NY 14701.
