Susanne Joan Larson

Sue graduated from Jamestown High School, North Park College, and Fredonia State College. For many years, Sue was employed as an elementary teacher as well as a preschool director.

Serving in a variety of ministries at First Covenant Church in Jamestown, Sue especially enjoyed singing in the church choir and in The Living Christmas Tree for many years. She also served as church librarian for 25 years, feeling a sense of notable spiritual leadership through her call. Handmade cards were crafted by the hundreds, sharing that love with endless friends and family.

Sue is survived by her husband, David B. Larson, whom she married August 6, 1960; her children, Stephen D. (Patti) Larson and Brenda S. (John) Larson Chandler; her grandchildren, Robert S. (Kylie) Larson and Rachel E. (Chris) Miller (step great granddaughter Ollie Miller); as well as her great grandsons, Landon and Wesley Larson.

Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Byron Swanson, and her sister, Carol Mae Swanson.

The funeral service for Sue will be at 2pm on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 1-2pm at Lind’s.
