Ronald V. Johnson

Ronald V. Johnson, 82, of Kiantone, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 at the Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA.

He was born on Feb. 18, 1943 in Wattsburg, PA, a son of the late Grover and Lena (Wyman) Johnson.

Ronald was a graduate of Wattsburg Area High School and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for many years and later transferred to the New York State Army Reserves retiring as a Major.

He was a member of Kiantone Fire Department where he had served as fire chief for several years, the NYS Association of Fire Chiefs, American Legion Samuel L. Derby Post 556, and was a life member of the former Carroll Masonic Lodge #1147.

Prior to retirement, he was employed at Dawson Metal as a draftsman for many years.

He will be remembered for his love for his family and the way he lit up when his grandchildren were around.

Ronald is survived by his son, Keith (Stephanie) Johnson of Montoursville, PA; daughter, Lorri (John) Munson of Frewsburg; three grandchildren: Mackenzie (Brady) Collver, Brianna Johnson, Cole Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Baylor K. Collver; and a sister, Judy Hummerich.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra K. (Cole) Johnson, who passed away on July 20, 2015; a brother, Norman Johnson; and a sister, Patty Engstrom.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025 in Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Burial will be in Stillwater Cemetery.

A Masonic Lodge Funeral Service will be held at noon on Saturday.

Friends will be received from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday in the funeral home.
