South Dayton: Rick C. Kerr, 70, of South Dayton, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 at his daughter’s residence in Cattaraugus. He was born in Silver Creek on Sept. 8, 1955, the son of the late Lorna (Scheskey) Kerr.
Rick was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School, Class of 1976 and was a Co-Owner of Kerr’s Custom Butchering in South Dayton for many years.
Survivors include two daughters; Melody Kerr & Cheryl Kerr, a son Jeremy Kerr, a sister Sue (Mike) McCadams of McKenzie, TN and a brother Scott (Heather) Kerr of South Dayton. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Rosie, Bell, Flynn, Alana & Adrina and several nieces & nephews. Besides his mother he was predeceased by his son Steven M. Kerr, who died June 21, 2011 and a sister; Jay Lee Kerr-Robinson, who died Sept. 25, 2024.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. The family suggests memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Suite B, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
